Meet Nigerian, Olurotimi Badero, the first and only fully trained cardio-nephrologist in the world

Olurotimi Badero was born in Lagos, south-western Nigeria, he is internationally recognized as the only fully trained and board certified cardio-nephrologist ( combined kidney and heart specialist) in the world today.

Dr Badero is the Executive Director of Cardiac Renal & Vascular Associates, the Medical Director of St. Joseph Hospice, and he is the globally Advisory Board of the rapeutics experts on Thrombosis and Atherosclerosis, Merck Pharmaceuticals USA.

Badero attended St Mary’s private school in Lagos for his primary education. He went to Federal Government College Odogbolu, Ogun state for his secondary education. He was thereafter admitted to the medical school at Obatemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun state.

He then relocated to United States to complete three years of internal medicine residency at the State of University (SUNY), Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn NY.

He is a distinguished physician who is awarded the following; First and only fully Trained cardio-nephrologist in the world, United States Congressional Record for outstanding medical career and service to humanity, Global Excellence in Medicine Award as the first fully trained cardio-nephrologist in the world, OAU Alumni USA 2016, 2014 Mississippi Health Care Hero first Cardiologist to perform trans-radial cardiac catheterization and percutaneous coronary angioplasty at Central Mississippi Medical Center (CMMC) 2011, 2017 Mississippi Entrepreneur of the year and Jackson State University Community Award Global Entrepreneur of the year.
